Welcome to LIGHTBOX, my name is Toni & along with my husband Zayne, we are a Manawatū family owned and operated physical & online business situated in the heart of Te Papaioea, Palmerston North, at the iconic Square Edge building. Our love for local art encompasses all ideas, creating, and connecting with the artistic community.

Basil Register (1911-2002)
Born in New Zealand in 1911, Basil Register studied at Palmerston North Technical College. An impressionist landscape painter working in oils pastel and watercolour. He was elected a member of New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts in 1950 and had exhibited with the Academy on numerous occasions.
Jack Register Q.S.M (1936-2018)
Born in Palmerston North New Zealand on ANZAC day 1936. His father was Basil Register. Jacks love of landscapes & watercolour spent more than 40 years painting, with much of his work based on landscapes of Manawatū, Horowhenua and Rangitīkei.
Jack engaged with people through his paintings, promoting art and sharing his passion.
In 2008 Jack received the Queens Service Medal for services to music and art. He was both humbled and honoured to receive it.
